What is AudioKar?
AudioKar is a cloud platform that automatically generates standard .kar (MIDI Karaoke) files from any audio or video source. Using OpenAI Whisper for state-of-the-art speech recognition, it transcribes spoken words and songs, then produces word-synchronized karaoke lyrics in the industry-standard KAR format — compatible with all major karaoke players and software. Additionally, it generates SRT subtitle files with optional automatic translation into multiple languages.
KAR File Generation
Produces standard MIDI Type 1 .kar files with word-level timing, tempo sync, and @KMIDI metadata — ready for any karaoke player.
Multi-Format Input
Upload audio (MP3, WAV, M4A) or video (MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, WEBM) files. AudioKar handles extraction and transcription automatically.
AI Speech Recognition

Send audio/video files via multipart upload and receive a Job ID. Optionally specify a target translation language and a webhook URL.
Poll the status endpoint for real-time updates, or provide a webhook URL to receive a JSON notification when the job completes or fails.
Download the generated .kar karaoke file and SRT subtitles (original and translated) via direct download URLs included in the response.
Secure all API requests with an API key sent via the X-Api-Key header. Manage your keys from the dashboard.
How It Works
Sign Up
Create your account by filling in the registration form with your name, email, and password.
Verify Your Email
Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to confirm your email address.
Admin Approval
An administrator will review and approve your account. You will receive an email notification once approved.
Create an API Key
Log in to the dashboard, navigate to API Keys, and create a new API key for your application.
Generate Karaoke Files
Upload your audio/video via the web interface or the REST API and receive a .kar karaoke file plus SRT subtitles. Optionally set a webhook URL to be notified when processing completes.
